    Description:
    I acquired this piece from a lady that collected other Asian pieces, mostly furniture.
    I've been told it is a hand brazier/warmer, but I think it functions very nicely as an incense burner when sand is added to the base.
    Measures 7.5” long, 5.5” deep and 5.75” tall.
    Weighs about 6.5 pounds.
    The metal seems to be a case bronze or brass.
    The figures depict what seems like bats and waves.
    There are markings on the inside and bottom that appear to be ancient as well as modern Chinese marks.
    The cover is removed with both hands...which can clearly be done once it cools or if you have protection from the heat.
    Condition

    Upon close examination, I found an old repair on the lid that is soldered which I can see under the cover.
    It's very hard to discern the repair from the outside.
    The inside is tight and can hold sand without spilling.
