Vtg 1930s/40s Department Store Undergarment Countertop Composite Mannequin Doll

Description

Late 1930s or 1940s composite tabletop mannequin dressed in period undergarments. Most likely a department or speciality store piece, it is painted in Caucasian flesh tones and sits atop a painted black wood circular base. Arms appear to have been at one point articulated at the shoulders but now have been glued into a fixed position. The undergarments are very fine and hand stitched.
Condition: Some craquelure to paint, minor losses to punt on fingertips. Bloomers have some loss to bottom hem detail. Legs have undergone a professional restoration to a clean break. The restoration in undetectable. Please see photos.
