    Description

    For sale is a vintage Disston D-8, 5 point skew back thumb hole hand saw, with a overall measurement of 28-3/4", with a 26-1/8" plate, with widths varying from 2-9/16" at the toe, to 6-1/2" wide at the handle heel. The etch is readable, as shown in the 6th picture, and the brass medallion reads "H. Disston & Sons Philada" The handle is sound, showing normal use and wear, with a slight crack at the top and some chipping at the bottom of the top horn, as shown in the last two{2} pictures. The plate is straight, with any jointing, setting and sharpening left up to you.  It has been gently cleaned and waxed by a previous owner. A beautiful piece for display, or for part of your collection. I usually have other hand saws for sale, and will be happy to combine shipping wherever possible to save you some shipping costs.
