    This beautiful framed print by J. Opdenaker is in excellent condition with out any signs of wear or damage. This famed P – 38L Lightning is a tribute to the famed Major Thomas McGuire's call sign "Pudgy". Maguire was a World War II pilot that scored the second highest number of kills in the United States during the Second World War for the United States and was an historic Ace of his time. He racked up 38 Ariel victories and was second only to the famous Ace Richard Bong Who had 40 kills. McGuire flew from 1941 to 1945. Killed in 1945 in a dog fight with the Japanese zero McGuire was awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously.
    Framed under glass it is 17 1/2 inches wide and 21 1/2 inches tall.
