Vintage Sheffield Patented Grade A Mark Warranted 26" Hand Saw 9 TPI

Neat older saw, kind of a mystery to me. I'm not a collector nor a particularly well informed amateur, so I did some research, and the best I can determine is that this might -
might
- be an E. C. Atkins product. The medallion is unmistakable, but I cannot see an etch on the blade to help me identify it further. It was stored in a garage or barn, has some rust and some pitting, handle was painted red. I did remove the handle to clean it as best I could, back of two of the rivets took a few little wood chips out with them when I removed them. Medallion was painted along with everything else, so I cleaned the paint from the medallion and the rivets. I didn't try to go any farther than I did with cleaning the blade, since I learned a long time ago that if you get too aggressive, you might reveal the etch - and also remove it, which I didn't want to chance. Amazingly, blade looks straight to me. I tried to take a lot of pictures to give a good idea of markings and condition, so look at those to get the best idea of saw's characteristics. It is stamped "9" at the heel.
