    Description

You are looking at a vintage 24" crosscut panel hand saw made in the USA by Henry Disston & Sons at the Keystone Saw Works in Philadelphia, Pa. This saw is marked on the face of the blade with the number of the saw, and the Pacemaker logo with the two runners. The etch is mostly there, but I consider it a partial  because the edges are worn away. The blade on this piece sights straight and features a skewed back, a narrow point, 8 points per inch with al the teeth intact and in good, relatively sharp condition. The steel is clean, and has a very nice patina to it but does show some dark spots from previous oxidation. The handle on this piece is chip carved apple, and has no splits or cracks, but does show usage and finish wear. The blade is held tight with three steel saw nuts, one of which holds the "Warranted Superior" spread eagle medallion. Nice for the collector or the user.
