Description
You are looking at a 26" Rip hand saw made in the USA by Henry Disston & Sons of Philadelphia, Pa. This saw is marked on the face of the blade with the familiar Disston keystone logo, the number of the saw, the Victory Eagle logo, and the signed quality statement. It is slightly obscured by the heavy patina. The blade on this piece sights nice and straight and features a straight back, a narrow tip, and 5 1/2 points per inch with all the teeth intact and in good condition. The steel is clean and has a nice patina to it, but also has a few dark spots from previous oxidation. The handle on this saw is Walnut, that has a chip-carved face, and has no splits or cracks, but does show usage and finish wear. The handle is held tight to the blade with five steel saw nuts, one of which holds the "Disston - USA" medallion. ( Third saw nut down has a bigger inset because a previous owner installed a brass replacement that did not fit. It is marked on the handle pics) Great For the user or the collector.I will ship via Parcel Select Mail as soon as cleared payment is received. Please ask questions before you bid, and I will answer promptly. There is a 14 day return policy if not as described. Thanks for looking.
