Description
You are looking at a 26" Rip hand saw made in the USA by Henry Disston & Sons of Philadelphia, Pa. This saw is marked on the face of the blade with the familiar Disston keystone logo, the number of the saw, and the signed quality statement. It is light and unreadable, but it can be seen. The blade on this piece sights nice and straight and features a straight back, a narrow tip, and 5 1/2 points per inch with all the teeth intact and in good relatively sharp condition. The steel is clean and has a nice patina to it, but also has a few dark spots from previous oxidation. The handle on this saw is apple, that has a chip-carved face, and has no splits or cracks, but does show usage and finish wear. The handle is held tight to the blade with five steel saw nuts, one of which holds the "Disston - USA" medallion. Great For the user or the collector.I will ship via Parcel Select Mail as soon as cleared payment is received. Please ask questions before you bid, and I will answer promptly.
