Vintage Counter Manikin Doll Store Display Mannequin 25" Lofties

Description

This is a 25" point-of-sale counter manikin used in '40's,'50's era advertising displays.
Similar manikins, wearing identical red knit outfits, have been seen on stands
marked "Lofties". "Lofties by Lawrence" were known for their women's knit dresses like this one.
Auction includes:
1. This lovely 25" unmarked Manikin.
Her left shoulder opening has been repaired due to breakage.
The arm pegs are wrapped with tape for a snug fit into the age-worn shoulder openings.
The arm pegs have been fitted with hooks by a previous owner so the arms can be
secured in place with elastic stringing, if desired.
2. Small wooden unmarked age-worn stand.
A wooden dowel extends from manikin's left leg which fits into the stand.
3. Original unmarked Red Knit 2 piece Dress believed to be a "Lofties by Lawerence" creation.
I do not know if the belt is original or added later.
In the interest of preservation, this fragile, vintage knit dress has been carefully stored.
Outfit is in good condition. There are spots of old glue at the waist line.
She is wearing her old Lofties outfit only for the listing pictures.
4. Manikin has been displayed in her included slip with the blue and white crepe dress.
Manikin comes from a pet-free, smoke-free home.
