It's been a wile since I've done a reso saw so for those new to me. They are saws I've replaced the plate and kept the rest as is. This one's a 14" Disston No 4 that the plate was beyond saving. What your getting however is still great user and the new plate is spring rather then cast.
The handle and back, and hardware are all from the same saw. I keep the hang angle of the handle at the same as factory and use the old plate as a template. The new plate is hand polished, note its not perfectly polished but it's perfectly smooth. Afterwards it's hand toothed, and sharpened.
The handles in good shape with a few scratches and it's been refinished for protection. Both horns are clean and full. No repairs made or needed. The 13 point cross cut was freshly sharpened with sloped gullets to aid in smooth cuts with less feedback. The saw has been tested and ready to go out of the box. Carcase saws were offered in a few sizes, 14" is the most popular for general use and makes a great uses.

ABOUT THE SAW
HANDLE/BACK
factory applewood handle. No repairs made or needed. Some stains, a few marks and chips from age but otherwise its as it should be. It's a sold handle no cracks or other big issues. The handle was lightly refinished for future protection of the wood. Hardware is in good shape and tight to the plate. The back has some stains and marks that come with it's age. No structural issues or repairs made.
PLATE:
Replacement spring steel plate, made to match the one removed with just a touch more depth for shop use
. The plate is hand polished before it's hand toothed and sharpened. I take great care in my sharpening process and don't simply sharpen and list. After the saw is sharpened I test cut then tune as needed for best use. The 13 point cross cut was sharpened with sloped gullets. Perfect for use  on just about anything needing a backsaw. The saw makes
clean cut with a nice finish.

I accept returns up to 14 days
. I do not charge extra for shipping but do charge .50 to cover the cost of the box. These older saws can damage easily and I find it's better to use a custom box rather then recycle ones.
