    Description

    This listing is for the vintage original 1944 Burbank Lockheed "Lockheed Lightning Scale Model Plans" large foldout page as seen above. The pictured item is the actual over 75 year old piece of memorabilia that you will receive and was available to Lockheed personnel by way of mail-in coupon in the Lockheed "Evolution of the Lightning" magazine. This large approximately 18" x 48" single page was folded down by design to 8" x 9" by Lockheed for mailing purposes. There is no address printed on the front of this folded set of plans. There are numerous in-depth instructions on how to use the included templates to build a beautiful P-38 model. The 8th and 9th images show high resolution scans of the front and back of the exact folded down plans as you will receive them. The last image is for informational purposes only and shows the removable mail-in coupon offer for the model builder instructions to build a model P-38 as was present in the above mentioned magazine (we do have the referenced magazine available in a separate listing). As can be seen in the images, the folds and corners do have numerous minor stress creases and wear which do not detract from the overall beauty of this item. The rest of the foldout is in great condition!
