Brand-New 2mW Helium-Neon Laser Kit
The kit comes with hook-up instructions which are simple, but be careful of the high-voltage as outlined in the instructions.
The kit is complete, all items are new; it contains the following:
1) Melles Griot Part #: 05-LHP-122 Laser Tube (see specifications below)
1) Melles Griot Part #: 05-PSAB-804-045 Laser Power Supply (see specs below)
1) 5 Watt 75K ohm ballast resistor
1) Anode clip for laser tube
1) 2.1mm female power connector for 12 to 15Vdc power supply (power supply must be able to produce at least 1.25Amps at 12Vdc or 1.0Amp at 15Vdc)
Soldering and mounting is recommended. You can decide what type of enclosure you would like to use, if any. Some possibilities are to enclose it in a PVC pipe, an off-the-shelf enclosure, or even make your own using a 3-D printer!
For a science fair project you could lay it out on a piece of plexiglass or wood.
