    iWALK crutch isn't right for everyone. BEFORE you buy, let's make sure that iWALK is the right mobility device for YOU. (see 1, 1A, 1B and 1C below)
    Everything you need to know to determine if you can use iWALK crutch is here. First, see Step 1A, 1B, and 1C. Next proceed to Steps 2, 2A, 2B, and 2C. If you do not meet ALL the requirements, we're sorry, but iWALK crutch probably will not work for you. You should consider a different mobility device.
    iWALK crutch requires average strength and balance. If you can pass these two simple tests, then you have the physical capability to use the iWALK crutch:
    STAIR TEST BEFORE YOUR INJURY, could you walk up and down a flight of stairs at normal walking pace, and without using the handrail?
    BALANCE TEST Can you balance on your good (uninjured) leg for at least 30 seconds?
    If you cannot pass both tests, the iWALK crutch will not work for you. If you can, please proceed to step 1B.
    WILL IWALK CRUTCH FIT YOU?
    HEIGHT
    if you are between 5'1 (155cm) and 6'2 (185.5cm), then there's a 99% chance that iWALK will fit you. If you are shorter or taller, you must consult the leg length chart at left.

    THIGH SIZE
    Maximum thigh circumference, measured at the top of the leg, is 28 inches (71cm)

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS Let's confirm that you can use iWALK. If you answer NO to any of these, it will not work for you, otherwise, go to step 2.
    You will follow our video instructions and allow yourself up to 60 minutes to adapt
    Your injury is to one leg only, and below the knee
    You can bend your injured leg 90 degrees at the knee
    You are not significantly overweight
    If elderly, you were active and had full mobility. You meet all other requirements.
    Your safety is our first concern. Read 2, 2A, 2B and 2C BEFORE you buy.
    Consult with your physician before you purchase if ANY of the conditions listed below apply to you, or if you have any doubts about your ability to safely use the iWALK crutch. You are not in excellent general health (other than your lower leg injury) * Balance issues/vertigo * Poor circulation * Use of pain medications * Hip or knee replacements * Restricted flexibility or movement * Tibial tuberosity or Osgood Schlatter * Arthritis or other pain in legs, feet, hips or back * Chronic lower back pain.
    If none of these apply, proceed to step 2A.
    Important information for special circumstances
    AGE LIMITS
    Physical capabilities vary from person to person, especially as we age. We have learned that ABILITY LIMITS work better than age limits. If you have reasonable expectations and are honest in your self-assessment of your physical condition and capabilities, then the requirements for using iWALK are the same no matter what your age.
    PLUS SIZE
    Being significantly overweight will make it more difficult to adapt to the iWALK crutch, and in many cases, people with high body mass indexes cannot adapt to the iWALK.

    Important information for special circumstances
    DIABETICS Diabetic foot ulcers are often accompanied by neuropathy and / or obesity. If either of these conditions are present, the ability to use the iWALK is unlikely.
    BELOW KNEE AMPUTEES When you can't use your permanent prosthetic iWALK crutch is an effective daily living aid for below knee amputees, Please note that you must have at least four inches of residual limb behind the back of the knee.
