HENRY DISSTON & SONS BACKSAW "WARRANTED CAST STEEL", 16" BLADE. approx. 12TPI.

Description

Offered is a very nice antique Disston backsaw from an estate
The blade is 16", the saw is 20 1/2" long overall, I suspect it is an early 1900's era saw
The handle and blade are in very good condition, I count approx. 12 teeth per inch
The brass badge has the Disston Key Stone emblem and Disston USA
The top blade stiffener is stamped; Cast Steel - Henry Disston & Sons Warranted - Phila'd USA
The blade is also marked Henry Disston & Sons with the emblem
The blade looks straight, it has some typical age spots but no rust pitting
the teeth feel sharp and I think it will cut well
