    Description

    Offered here is a
    TOP QUALITY, CHOICE, COLLECTOR'S ANTIQUE METAL FRET SAW MARKED ON THE FRAME: "PAT. APL'D FOR".
    This all metal fret saw is in excellent condition with its original gold colored flowing design and red pin-striping.  The saw has a depth reach of 12 inches and the blade distance between both original iron wing nuts is approximately 5 inches.  The metal handle has cutouts in the frame making a fine design.  Although there is no maker's name or mark on the tool I believe it have have been manufactured by MILLERS FALLS.  It is of an early manufacture, possibly in the 1880s or 90's.  There are no chips or cracks in the metal frame and the black japanning, gold design and red pin-striping are all original, as found.  The frame has been lightly waxed to protect and preserve the finish.   This is a
