    Description

    For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Near Mint Condition Circa 1941 Eversharp Skyline Fountain Pen & Pencil in Black. This fountain pen & pencil set has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition. This set is near perfect and shows - very clean example.
    This Skyline has the Gold Filled Eversharp Double Checkmark Clip, Gold Filled Derby, Gold Filled Wide Cap Banding, Gold Filled Lever Bar, and 14K NIB. The cap and barrel displays black color. This Eversharp Skyline is a demi size that measures 4 7/8" in length capped and 5 1/4" posted. The pencil measures 4 3/4" inches in length.
    This fountain pen & pencil cap and barrels are in magnificent condition with no chips or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap has a gold filled derby and the Eversharp Double Checkmarked gold filled clip that displays no brassing or wear. The wide gold filled cap banding is excellent showing no brassing or wear. The gold filled clip edge is clearly stamped with, "EVERSHARP SKYLINE PAT. MADE IN U.S.A.", with the front of the clip displaying, "EVERSHARP". There are no monograms or personalizations to the cap or barrel.
    The Eversharp Skyline Filling System is a lever filler. I have installed a new rubber sac and tested it with water and works as it should.
    The pencil is a "click-activated" type by pressing the dome down. The lead will repel out the nose cone as it should. The eraser is still securely intact as well.
    The Eversharp NIB is a 14K NIB. The actual iridium tip/writing portion of the 14K Eversharp NIB has a fine point measuring roughly .56mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample, this NIB writes with a fine to medium stroke/line. In the writing sample provided, the fine line measures at .46mm, and the medium stroke measures .63mm with firm pressure when measured with digital calipers. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue-black Ink.
    The Eversharp box is in great condition - same as the set.
    This is an Eversharp Skyline Fountain Pen that displays an Ultra-Cool Art Deco design with the less common wide cap banding and gold-filled derby. I grade this Eversharp Set in Near Mint Condition. It is ready to write or just add to your writing arsenal collection.
