    Description

    Maker and marks
    : On the base of this striking antique vase is the blue mark of the renowned Limoges firm Lewis Strauss and Sons, which produced and exported high quality porcelain from France, Austria and other European countries. The firm is also known as Lazarus Strauss & Sons.
    A partial green Limoges white ware mark also appears. There are several unclear incised marks.
    Design
    : LS&S's commitment to quality is apparent in the craftsmanship of this beautiful vase, and in the finely painted tranquil boating scene from a bygone era that appears on one side. The other side is a solid light blue.
    Size
    : The vase is 10 inches tall, 8 inches long and 3 1/2 inches wide. It weighs 3 pounds 3 ounces.
    Condition
    : It has no nicks, cracks, stains, repairs, crazing or discoloration. There is light wear throughout and a manufacturing flaw near the top of the interior that in the photos looks like a crack; it is not. Three of the points at the top have broken off - one in front and two on the back. This damage is shown in the photos with the red arrows.
