    Description

    This 18 inch split nut panel saw is in fantastic shape for a saw of this period, just after the Civil war would be my best age estimate, the sticker on the blade was there when I got it and has reference numbers with an 1867 date. The early type etch says CHANDLER BOSTON, MASS WARRANTED CAST STEEL. There is some staining on the plate and an ever so slight gentle bow to the left when sighting down the tooth line. The split nuts remain unmolested, the sanding marks in the brass from  manufacturing are all lined up in original position. There are a few minor scratches and dings in the handle but the edges are all nice and crisp like new. Hard to find this vintage saw in this condition for sure!
