Description
This auction is for a antique 1800's handsaw marked WILLIAM ROBINSON CAST STEEL with 3 crowns [ partial worn - see photos . ] The handle is the London style with the flat bottom. I believe the handle is the 3 finger style with a rounded cutout for the fourth on the top. Somewhere over the years the spit saw nuts had been replaced with the dome nuts [ see photos ] The blade is 22" long with a nib at the toe. Saw has 8 teeth per inch. Surprisingly the bade is very straight and when place on a flat surface all the teeth pretty much make contract. Blade is 6" at the heel and 2 1/4" at the toe. Each horn has minor chipping at the bottom of each. Total length including handle is just under 26". Weight of the saw is 1lb. 3.8 oz. I offer priority mail shipping. Thank you for looking.
